Roboshield Update!

25. 2. 2015

[robocraftgame.com]

A number of users have reported issues with EAC both on the forums and to Freejam customer support and we are working hard to resolve as many of these issues as possible.

Here is an update on the main issues:

1. Users getting randomly kicked from battles with the EAC bear logo appearing

This is a bug that Freejam and EAC are fixing together. We are hoping to have a fix to this today.

2. Some anti-virus programs do not automatically allow EAC to install/run

We are aware of at least 4 anti-virus programers that see EAC as a potential threat or block it in some way from functioning fully. EAC are working with the anti-virus companies and with their software to solve these issues to ensure a smoother installation progress.

3. Users getting ‘game file integrity mismatch’ error which triggers teddy bear and closes game client

EAC are working on a solution to this and hope to have it fixed by the end of today.

4. Some versions of Linux not working

EAC are working on fixes to ensure users on these versions of Linux can play again very soon.

5. Windows XP 64-bit not working

Approximately 0.5% of users use Windows XP in 64-bit mode, due to weaknesses in this operating system it is more of a challenge to get EAC working on this platform. EAC plans to find a solution, but this will not be fixed in a very short time frame as the other issues will as it is quite complex to solve.

Gladly over 100,000+ users have so far managed to install and play Robocraft without issue (other than the ‘random kick’ issue which is affecting everyone). Hopefully with the efforts of EAC and our leading dev guru Seb, we will be on top of all these issues very quickly and can then get our heads down and deliver you some more amazing features and content with our next major launch (and a few little ones in between) schedule for early December.
